I
am always amazed, impressed and appreciative of the training and
care you
and Glen take with the dogs. We get them back with manners you didnt
think
a dog could have but they still have the personality they left with.
Thank
you so much,

We
met Glen Selwyn owner of Goldwing Kennels through a mutual friend
of ours, whose dog is currently going for his Masters title. After
going goose hunting with our friend and seeing how well his dog
was trained and worked for him, we decided we wanted our dog to
be able to retrieve like that.
We
took our six month old Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Cody, to be trained
in basic obedience and hunting skills. After four months of daily
training for Cody and going every three weeks and training ourselves
(Glen strongly suggest that each person come and train with him,
so that you learn how to handle your own dog) we entered Cody into
the Junior Hunt Trials which he successfully received before he
was a year old.(2001) Cody is currently going for his Senior Title.
Which
he received in the summer of 2002.
We cannot forget Glen’s wife Melody, who keeps the kennels
spotless and gives all the dogs the TLC they need. Melody also helps
Glen in the training of the dogs by giving them the basic obedience
and by being the official bird thrower. Melody’s very high
spirit and organization is always welcome at the hunt trials. We
always look forward to going to the hunt trials with Glen and Melody,
because there is never a dull moment.
The daily schedule at Goldwing kennels starts with basic repetitive
drills and continues with plenty of birds thrown on the training
grounds and ponds. Glen’s longtime experience in running hunt
trials and field trials, his rapport with the dogs, the excellent
training grounds, and attentive care, make Goldwing Kennels the
best choice available for training dogs.
Thanks Glen and Melody you guys are doing an excellent job.
